Always Never was originally released as part of the Writing Wenches second anthology regarding friends who become more than friends. Short stories are both fun and challenging to write–fun because you get instant gratification as a writer. I can often finish a short story within a week (compare that to a full length novel that takes months to finish, often longer). On the other hand, creating characters and stories you can connect with in twenty pages or less has its own brand of craziness. To counter this issue, I tried to show the development of Bree and Rowan’s relationship through notes and text messages, and snapshots. I had fun writing this particular story because of evolution of their relationship, which was sometimes messy but always filled with love. I hope you enjoy Bree and Rowan’s story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
